Nolina, Meksika orijinli bir bitkidir. Kışın 10 derecenin altında yaşayamadığı için ülkemizde ancak iç mekan bitkisi olarak yetiştirilebilir.
Bitkinin gövdesi tabana doğru fil ayağı gibi kalınlaşır. Yaprakları ise otsudur. Aydınlık, güneşli bir yere ve bol taze havaya ihtiyaç duyar.
Evde yetiştirecekseniz pencereye yakın yerleştirin. Hatta yazın aşırı güneş almayan bir balkonda durabilir.
Nolina Bitkisi yetiştirirken en çok dikkat edilmesi geren nokta; saksı veya tabağında asla su bekletilmemelidir. Derhal çürür. Drenajın iyi olması için turba ve kum karışımı bir torf kullanılması yerinde olur. Fazla problem çıkaran bir bitki değildir.
